Interior designer – an unnecessary expense or a smart investment choice?

Working with designers and architects is nothing unusual these days. However, for many people it is still an item in their refurbishment project budgets they tend to skip. Andrea Jelinkova from Design Living Concept sums up the reasons as to why it is a good idea to hire a professional.

“Naturally, it is mainly for financial reasons that our clients are in two minds about whether or not they should involve an interior designer. The truth is, though, that you might well be able to get your money back already during the actual refurbishment stage. And if that is not the case, it’s sure to happen as your property increases in value in the future.

Interior designers can reduce your costs by having access to wholesale-priced goods and also by using tried and tested contractors, getting better deals on the strength of their long-term collaboration. In addition, the professional angle of view they take on the layout, material quality and functional aspects of your interior may also raise the price of your property.

Last but not least, a well-chosen interior designer or architect saves you money by being able to arrange the sequence of contractor work and supplies quickly and easily and take care of things such as getting various permits from authorities, something you might appreciate especially if you are a novice in this area.

In all our projects we and our designers always stand by our clients‘ side, defending their interests at all cost, whether it is in making sure that projects don’t drag on or exceed the budget, or keeping an eye on other contractors to ensure they adhere to our vision,“ Design Living Concept’s  Andrea Jelinkova describes their philosophy.
